Paris: Talbot Runhof Show

Sweet friends. Today we are introducing a new team member here at Fashion, Art and Other Fancies. Meet our new Editor in Chief, the lovely Olivia La Brooy. A good friend of my family introduced us at the Talbot and Runhof show in Paris.

Born in London. Olivia La Brooy studied Buying and Merchandising at the Fashion Academy in London. Then went on to do internships in PR and marketing with Mulberry ( whom she still works for ) and various other London agencies. Below her review of the Talbot/ Runhof show.

The Talbot Runhof show began in complete darkness, then a narrator emerged through the speakers taking us through all the ways we see the colour ‘green’ and the sense of power it holds. Everything from peace to envy. Then the room was lit up with a rich green light which really provided a fantastic mood throughout the room! And then the show began!

Held at the stunning Hotel Westin the show took inspiration from ‘Great Expectations’ character Nora Dinsmoor. The sadness and passion of her life gave the brand the colour palette from ivy to oak, from acorn to gingko, birch to maple, emerald to evergreen, turquoise to jade, moss to bronze. Green. This was an eye catching beautiful show!

I saw a lot of tweed, satin and velvet throughout the show with the bold statement print for the season - leaf motives. Which we first saw on our invitations.
